Cityscapes wins “2008 Interiorscape Best Project Award”!

We are delighted to receive the highest honor within the Interiorscape magazine.  The winning project was located at The Winter Garden at 111 Huntington Avenue. The retail shopping complex now has the look of a mature garden living within the 23-acre area. The Garden was installed and completed over a three-night time span but looks as if it’s been there for 25 years.

Hope In Bloom

We recently held a fundraiser to help women with breast cancer with the help of John Hancock, Manulife and an organization called Hope in Bloom.  Hope in Bloom is a charity that designs and plants gardens for women with breast cancer.  In order to help, Cityscapes sold flowering plants, flowers, herb gardens and more to employees in the John Hancock building.   It was held in the Clarendon lobby of the Brown Building on the Friday before Mother’s Day; enticing husbands, sons and daughters to help with a good cause as well as surprise mom with flowers

Janice Goodman, President and Owner of Cityscapes, is helping to design and install a garden retreat for a woman who is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer.  The hope is that these gardens will be sanctuaries and havens for those who are sick and that the energy of nature will be beneficial towards a recovery.

Here’s a picture of Janice Goodman with Vicky Burgess in Vicky’s backyard garden.

The team at Cityscapes helped transform her backyard into a retreat for herself and for her family.

Cityscapes Hosts Daycare Children for the Day!

Cityscapes invited the children of the John Hancock Child Care Center to enter into Boston’s secret garden on top of the John Hancock building.

They are helping to plant and pot, decorate and design their own little gardens.

Last week they created Easter Banquet centerpieces and donated them to Starlight, a homeless shelter for the those less fortunate.

This week, being St. Patrick’s Day in Boston, the kids planted shamrock plants to give to their loved ones.

We hope to have many more memories with the children from the Child Care Center and are looking forward to sharing them with you!
