Interior Horticulturalist

Seeking meticulous horticulturists with a passion for plants. Job includes maintenance of indoor plantscapes by watering, pruning, washing, fertilizing and treating plants in and around Greater Boston’s corporate interiors.

  • Visits all scheduled accounts regularly, paying special attention to high maintenance and large accounts
  • Ensures consistent Cityscapes quality, effective performance while minimizing plant replacements
  • Waters all plants and sub-irrigation units appropriately for each plant
  • Ensures that all plants are clean and free of dust
  • Removes discolored leaves; pruning
  • Notifies service manager of any damaged or vandalized plants and containers
  • Communicates with manager and sales representative if there is an access issue on an account
  • Keep all current client inventories up to date
  • Responsible for upkeep and placement of tools and equipment
  • Reports all No-Charge Replacements into the office line with clarity and discusses potential problems
  • Actively attends regular Horticultural Services Team meetings
  • Check and treat all pest issues in compliance with Cityscapes policies
  • Remove all trash and debris from planters
  • Seek and make suggestions for improvements where needed including restaging projects etc…
  • Any additional special projects as needed

Exterior Plant Installer & Maintenance Crew Member

Seeking hardworking individuals with plantscaping/landscaping/horticultural experience to maintain exterior plantings in the Boston area. Job includes exterior plantings, watering and maintaining of plants and some heavy lifting. This is a seasonal position March-December with possible extension through the winter on our Operations Team. Applicants should have a passion for maintaining a beautiful environment, some experience and a clean driving record. Applicants must have a valid license, clean driving record, and level of comfort driving box trucks and pickup trucks in the Boston area. Come join our team!

Duties include but not limited to:

• Visits all scheduled accounts regularly, paying special attention to high maintenance and large accounts

• Ensures consistent Cityscapes quality, effective performance while minimizing plant replacements

• Responsible for keeping an accurate log of account maintenance for each and every account

• Waters all plants appropriately using hose hookups or water tank vehicles as a water source

• Ensures that all plants are pruned appropriately, removing discolored leaves and spent flowers

• Notifies manager and sales representative of any damaged or vandalized plants and containers

• Communicates with manager and sales representative if there is an issue on an account

• Responsible for upkeep and placement of tools and equipment

• Actively attends regular Exterior Team meetings

• Check and treat all pest issues in compliance with Cityscapes policies

• Remove all trash and debris from planters, beds, and containers

• Seek and make suggestions for improvements where needed including plant changes, fertilization etc. . .

• Any additional special projects as needed

Master Scheduler

Cityscapes is seeking an individual who is highly organized and understands the processes that drive a supply chain. The master scheduler will bepresented with the responsibility of ensuring that various processes and timelines for Cityscapes’ industry are followed closely to ensure themost efficient results possible. The applicant must be able to work alone and be able to communicate professionally with team members across the entire company. This opportunity also presents an excellent opportunity for internal and external training, as well as career progression within Cityscapes for the right candidate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains various reporting systems to ensurethat documentation is accurate and timely.
  • Creates dailyproduction schedules and ensures that output is recorded into the correct system.
  • Communicates with account executiveswhen there are significant variations in product demand.
  • Communicates demand information across a facility so that everyone is aware of volume and metrics.
  • Reconciles inaccuracies with account executives and the purchasing team.
  • Ensures that employees receive schedules in a timely manner and that any discrepancies are accounted for and covered to ensure obligations to clients are satisfied.
  • Works directly with employees to resolve scheduling issues.
  • Works with vendors to ensure that supply needs are met.
  • Works directly with theWarehouse Manager to ensure product fulfillment timelines are met.
  • Documents key information for analysis which includes downtime, peak production, inventory accuracy and scheduling accuracy.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrates the ability to use a computer and various database programs—including Microsoft Excel—proficiently.
  • Understands how to document production goals and deviations from these goals on a regular basis.
  • Shows the ability to understand customer demand and how to alter production so that this demand is met.
  • Has the ability to adequately act as a liaison between vendors, account executivesand workers as well as other departments within the company.
  • Demonstrates at least basic knowledge of supply chain activities.
  • Shows that he/she can work efficiently under pressure and help motivate employees to meet demands.
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate across a matrix organization.
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively manage and complete competing priorities.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in a business field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Must have experience in inventory control, production, manufacturing and scheduling to be considered.
  • Significant experience in manipulating spreadsheet and table data within Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
